Lana Britt, AuD, CCC-A, holds a clinical doctorate in audiology from Salus University and both graduate and undergraduate audiology degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the State of Texas.
Dr. Britt has been an audiologist in the Dallas area for over 20 years. She has enjoyed an interesting, diverse career with extensive experience in research, vestibular and electrophysiological testing, adult and pediatric cochlear implants, and intraoperative monitoring. Dr. Britt has also taught several doctorate audiology courses at both the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of North Texas. She thrives in medical settings performing audiological assessments for all age groups and is passionate about empowering individuals to make informed decisions regarding their hearing health. Dr. Britt also has a particular interest in tinnitus management and hearing conservation, a cause close to her heart as her oldest daughter is a classical musician.
Dr. Britt’s research activities at the University of Texas at Dallas as a student and later as a research audiologist with the National Institutes of Health grant, Childhood Development after Cochlear Implantation, resulted in over 20 publications included in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology, American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, Otology and Neurotology, Cochlear Implants International, Ear and Hearing, Pediatrics, Development and Psychopathology, Hearing Research, International Journal of Audiology, Journal of Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Child Development, Journal of Pediatrics Internation, Developmental Psychopathology, and Parenting: Science and Practice. In addition, Dr. Britt co-authored a chapter on pediatric cochlear implantation in Evidence-Based Practice in Audiology: Evaluating Interventions for Children and Adults with Hearing Impairment. She has also enjoyed invited speaking engagements with the Ear Nose and Throat Specialty Group, Cochlear Crusaders, and Jornada Panamericana de Audiologica in Costa Rica.
When she's not working, Dr. Britt enjoys singing in her church choir, fitness activities, and spending time with her husband, three (almost grown) children, and two boxers.
